As part of its ongoing digital transformation, U.S. Coffee recently implemented VAI’s Mobile Proof-of-Delivery (POD) application. The mobile solution captures electronic signatures, takes delivery photos, and logs GPS coordinates, providing real-time delivery tracking and indisputable proof of receipt.

“Mobile POD lets us track our drivers, their routes, and truck locations in real-time. We know where they are, where they’re headed, and when they’ll arrive,” added Trapani. “It helps us optimize delivery routes and scan products on and off trucks, which greatly improves our customer satisfaction.”

Before implementing Mobile POD, the company relied on a system that required scanned, multi-copy paper invoices post-delivery. The new digital VAI solution eliminates the scanning step, speeding up the delivery process.

“VAI Mobile POD has eliminated the need for scanning invoices,” said Michael Gallagher, Project Director at VAI. “It’s faster, easier, and completely automated.”

Looking ahead, U.S. Coffee is planning additional digital enhancements, including backend website upgrades, deployment of VAI Sales Force, an upgrade to VAI Smart Center, and the addition of VAI Mobile Warehouse.
