VAI CEO Bob Vormittag Honored at the 24th Annual South Shore University Hospital Golf Classic

Ronkonkoma, N.Y. – October 19, 2021 – VAI, a leading ERP software developer, announced that Bob Vormittag, President & CEO of VAI, was this year’s Honoree at the 24^th Annual South Shore University Golf Classic, held October 13^th at the Southward Ho Country Club, in Bay Shore, NY. Proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit the wide-ranging and ongoing campus transformation at South Shore University Hospital, (SSUH), which in turn works towards the betterment of healthcare and services throughout communities on Long Island. Also recognized at this event was Donna Moravick, RN, NP, Executive Director, SSUH, for her 10 years of dedication and service to the SSUH community.

The mission of SSUH’s annual golf outing is to raise funds to help Northwell’s flagship hospital in Suffolk County provide exceptional care for the communities it is privileged to serve. Contributions also raise awareness to the remarkable transformation and expansion the hospital has undergone and will continue to undergo. As a local business owner and a long-time supporter of Northwell Health’s SSUH, Vormittag has inspired many local business owners and associates to support SSUH’s efforts to advance its care giving initiatives. Believing it is imperative that good healthcare is available for all, Vormittag works with these organizations to increase the efforts for charitable giving and events that support Northwell Health.

Originally selected to be the 2020 Honoree, Vormittag stepped aside as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the Long Island community and devastated families and businesses. Vormittag asked SSUH to instead recognize SSUH’s healthcare heroes, as they tirelessly cared for patients and fought on the front lines during that time.
