VAI and Pro Marine USA Celebrate Nearly 20 Years of Partnership, Marking Two Decades of Growth, Innovation, and Trust

As the partnership has evolved over the years, so too has Pro Marine USA’s technology strategy, with a continued focus on strengthening systems, improving accessibility, and ensuring long-term resilience. That commitment to innovation most recently led the company to make a strategic move designed to safeguard operations and enhance business continuity.
Pro Marine USA transitioned to VAI Cloud in August 2024, driven by the need for a fully accessible, fully redundant system. Prior to the move, the company operated on-premises and had concerns with natural disasters and storm threats, due to its location in central Florida.
The transition to VAI Cloud strengthened business continuity and resilience, particularly during severe weather events. Within weeks of migrating to VAI Cloud, the company experienced two major storms that disrupted power and devastated the local community. However, with VAI Cloud in place, pre-storm preparation was significantly less stressful.
“We didn’t worry about transporting servers to another location,” said Taylor Naset, IT Manager at Pro Marine, USA. “While hurricane prep is one thing, we have the peace of mind knowing our data – which is the heart of our company – was safely secured in VAI’s data centers. This allowed us to focus on what truly mattered: helping our family, friends, and community recover.”
After ensuring employee safety, the company shifted its focus to restarting operations. Using the VAI Portal website, Pro Marine maintained communication with customers, providing updates on storm impact and reopening timelines. Remote cloud access enabled the company to resume operations within two days following both storms.
“Even with limited warehouse resources, we were able to continue normal processes in VAI S2K ERP,” Naset added. “Moving to the cloud was truly a lifesaver. While we hope never to test it again, we can rest easy knowing our information is secure.”
Since migrating to VAI Cloud, Pro Marine USA has realized additional benefits, including improved scalability, enhanced processing power, and the ability to run complex reports more efficiently.
Pro Marine USA has utilized VAI’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) since 2017, equipping its warehouse with advanced tools to streamline operations and reduce errors.
With VAI WMS, the company has nearly eliminated picking and shipping errors through a dual-verification process using RF scanners. Customer calls related to missing products have been virtually eliminated. The bin cycle count system has also transformed inventory management. What once required one or two full shutdowns per year now requires no shutdowns at all, with one team member consistently completing cycle counts multiple times per year.
The VAI WMS solution has delivered measurable efficiency gains. Processes that previously required three to four employees now require one to two. Manual tasks and unnecessary trips back and forth to a PC have been significantly reduced. Custom workflows have further streamlined picking, manufacturing orders, and receiving, enabling Pro Marine to manage inventory more effectively while supporting continued growth.
Pro Marine USA has leveraged VAI’s eCommerce solution since 2013 to expand its digital presence and better serve customers. “After moving to the newer VAI eCommerce, I can’t say enough about it,” said Naset. “The VAI team has been instrumental in helping us create a website that enables customers to find what they need while delivering an experience that closely mirrors the expertise they receive over the phone. We’ve continued refining the site to enhance the user experience, and VAI has supported us every step of the way.”
VAI delivered a fully integrated and intuitive digital experience for Pro Marine USA. Built on VAI’s eCommerce platform, the responsive site is optimized for all devices and integrates product browsing, online ordering, forms, promoted content, and company events into a streamlined experience. Existing customers can register online and automatically connect to their account information, providing immediate access to personalized data and faster ordering.
