VAI Annual Survey Findings Showcase Positive Industry Outlook, Trends and Priority Insights for 2018

Ronkonkoma, N.Y. – May 8, 2018 – VAI (Vormittag Associates, Inc.), a leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) software developer, today released the results of its 2018 Customer Survey, which sourced feedback from its customer base of IT professionals to gauge projected industry-wide priorities and expectations for the year.

In an effort to meet evolving business needs in an ever-changing technology landscape, VAI has identified areas to better serve and engage customers based on survey findings. Specifically, the survey aimed to identify drivers of technology investment, trends impacting customers’ business sectors, and hurdles to implementing new technology. Some of the more compelling findings include:

• Approximately 88% of respondents have an optimistic outlook for their business in 2018, thanks to insights offered by the S2K ERP software.
• Almost 50% of respondents said that integrating new technology or managing legacy systems would be their greatest IT challenge in 2018.
• Over 51% of respondents say the most important factor in their choosing of an ERP software was ongoing development and flexible upgrades.
• Over 70% of respondents reported that either budget constraints or time restricted their ability to adopt new technology.
