Martin Inc. Turns to VAI for Automated Payment Data Transfers

Ronkonkoma, N.Y. - March 23, 2015 - VAI, a leading ERP software provider, and Comdata, an integrated financial solutions company that powers payment platforms, today announced that Martin, Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of custom tailored solutions for maintenance, repair, and operation supplies (MRO) to construction markets, is successfully using the companies’ integrated ERP payment processes solution to improve productivity for processing electronic payments and generate new revenue streams.

With multiple divisions in place, Martin sought a single ERP system to gain both operating and administrative efficiencies. As the company looked to streamline business processes in the accounts payable area and migrate away from checks to more cost-effective electronic settlements, it was introduced to Comdata, a company specializing in integrated payables.

After a thorough evaluation of Martin’s payment process, Comdata introduced them to the value of leveraging an integrated Virtual MasterCard (single-use account number) with e-mail remittance to the supplier as the preferred settlement method. The Martin FastPay program serves as a way of turning accounts payable into a revenue generator. The project required an integrated ERP and payment processing solution that would enable Martin to seamlessly issue and reconcile all payments.

To address these needs, Martin deployed VAI’s S2K V-Payment solution. Comdata’s automated and bank-neutral payment platform seamlessly integrates with VAI’s S2K V-Payment Solution to automate the transfer of payment data from the ERP system to Comdata. By enabling automatic payment reconciliation and eliminating the inefficiency of manual check processing, Martin can pay suppliers and capture customer payments quickly and securely.
