| VAI’s Vendor Community Highlights Unique, Industry Specific Solutions At The Conference
At this year’s User Conference, VAI’s vendor community showcased the benefits of how particular solutions interface seamlessly with the S2K Software Suite. VAI’s customers had the opportunity to speak directly with third party vendors, ask questions and see solutions at work through live demonstrations.
Each year, VAI presents the solutions of a select number of vendors requested most by its customer base. All of this year’s vendor workshops were well received and attended. They presented timely information along with the latest technology.
Extol conducted a workshop on its Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Integrator. This comprehensive seminar highlighted the latest EDI technologies, which have become increasingly important as today’s companies utilize the Internet more to conduct business. In addition, Prime Visibility, a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company, discussed Internet Marketing to a very receptive audience. In recent years, the Internet has proven to be the most effective form of advertising and marketing. Prime Visibility conveyed to the audience, the significance of Web presence and the ability it has to increase market share. |
Speech Interface Design discussed the rapidly growing field of Voice Picking technology. Attendees learned how to implement voice picking in the warehouse by integrating Vocollect with S2K Warehouse Pro. Live demonstrations were conducted by VAI personnel. They were shown how to complete daily tasks by replacing cumbersome lists and traditional data capture with hands-free personal voice dialogs.
Vendor exhibitions included a long list of VAI’s solution providers. Some highlights of these displays include Cybra, which unveiled its MarkMagic 6.1 solution at the conference. MarkMagic is a Bar Code Label, RFID tag and SM@RT Laser Forms software offering. IBM conducted a workshop with the latest System i models 515. iMessaging representatives discussed their telephony Voice over IP (VoIP) integration and enablement solutions for the System i platform.
