| | Larry Murphy- Vice President of Research & Development | As Vice President of Research & Development, Larry Murphy oversees enhancements to VAI’s S2K Enterprise Solutions, the firm’s flagship software application, and guides new product development. Under Murphy’s leadership, VAI’s S2K solution has achieved status as an industry-leading, enterprise resource planning software solution. Murphy works hard to help VAI stay ahead of the competition by leveraging new technologies and incorporating new features and capabilities based on customer input.
Murphy also has led design efforts to expand VAI’s product offerings, entering into new industry areas such as S2K for Metals, S2K for Pharmaceuticals and S2K for Apparel. Like the original S2K, part of the creative impetus originates from custom-designed solutions developed for specific clients, while emerging technologies drive product evolution.
Prior to this, Murphy served as Senior Programmer & Analyst for VAI and was responsible for overseeing special projects and customer implementations. In addition, Murphy guided the programming team in designing numerous software enhancements, which now serve as the backbone of the S2K software application.
Murphy, who joined VAI in 1987, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology. |
